Apparently the octopus & tomato salad here is to die for, but we only found this out from friends after enjoying a gorgeous lunch including “barriga de atun”, which has to be one of the most exquisite cuts of fish I have ever tasted. Will be back for the pulpo.

La Sal
This is the sister restaurant of La Sal Sevilla, both of which specialise in dishes made from tuna “Almadraba” caught on the Cádiz coast. Perfect for tunaholics as there are many tapas and main dishes featuring tuna, but the menu also includes a variety of salads, meat (el retinto), fish and rice dishes. The seaweed fritters and risotto de ortuguillas are not to be missed.
There is a nice selection of wines by the glass and the ambience can’t be beat, with sea views on the terraza or cosy candle-lit dining areas inside.

Vino Mio
One of the first places I ate at in Málaga – this is their original location.
I recently discovered that Vino Mio has moved over to larger premises just a couple of blocks away in the Plaza Jeronimo Cuervo and the charming place you see here is no more. Moreover the food and service has suffered and it is no longer somewhere that I recommend…
