And then I saw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nigella.com\/recipes\/coriander-and-jalapeno-salsa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this recipe<\/a>! A simple salsa but omg it&#8217;s good. And once I saw &#8220;roughly chop the cilantro stalks and all&#8221; I was in (for me picking cilatro leaves is right up there with peeling garlic). Anyhow, the amount of fresh cilantro in the original recipe (100 grams) was more than I had and so, as usual, I improvised a bit. I also didn&#8217;t have any fresh jalape\u00f1os so used a few slices of pickled ones. Trust me, once you try this you&#8217;re always going to want some on hand. Check out the link here for the original recipe and also for tips on storage, usage, etc&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nigella.com\/recipes\/coriander-and-jalapeno-salsa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nigella&#8217;s Cilantro &amp; Jalape\u00f1o Salsa<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients and instructions below&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>60 grams fresh cilantro &#8211; stalks and all (roughly chopped)<\/li>\n<li>6-8 slices of pickled jalape\u00f1os<\/li>\n<li>1-2 cloves garlic (peeled and halved)<\/li>\n<li>65 ml olive oil<\/li>\n<li>juice of 1 &#8211; 1 1\/2 limes<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon Maldon sea salt flakes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3686\" src=\"https:\/\/azahar-spain.com\/kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nigella-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/azahar-spain.com\/kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nigella-2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/azahar-spain.com\/kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nigella-2-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/azahar-spain.com\/kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nigella-2-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/azahar-spain.com\/kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nigella-2-618x618.jpg 618w, https:\/\/azahar-spain.com\/kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nigella-2-66x66.jpg 66w, https:\/\/azahar-spain.com\/kitchen\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/nigella-2-444x444.jpg 444w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Roughly chop the cilantro. Put the lime juice, olive oil, salt, jalape\u00f1os and garlic in the blender recipient of your choice. Then add the cilantro. I used the small blender recipient for my stick, so this meant I had to stuff in the cilantro a bit at a time. Whizz it up until you have a nice smooth sauce, adding more salt or lime juice if you like.
